  1. Regarding The Getaway, apart from the obvious failure to capture the spirit that Peckinpah brought to even his lesser works late in his career, the casting is once again a major problem.
    I agree with you that Baldwin is just not the right man for the role, and the McQueen/McGraw dynamic isn’t there with Basinger.

    BTW, I really enjoy these little video commentaries.
